Hi All,
I need SOP urgently as I am applying for Jan 12 intake soon. I was rejected under SPP category in July and now I am applying in General. My rejection reasons were that my background does not match the proposed course and I might not come back. These two are the most common reasons for all students for visa rejection. I shall appreciate the help.

Hi,
I do not think if SOP can solve your problem.
1.
Background doesn't match with your proposed course – For this you better search for compatible course, possibly at a University level (in case you are a graduate student).
2.
Might not return back to India – For this, you may like to attach ITR (of self/parents), work experience (on an official letter head), bank statement, salary slip, certified bank loan, good academic records and a short brief on your ‘Student Questionnaire Form'. I mean all these instruments are enough to show your level of establishment and family tie.
There is
no harm in using/attaching SOP along with your file, but you should understand that NO ONE is going to read your SOP. How is it possible for a concerned visa officer to trust the contents of your SOP when you are free to write anything on a piece of paper. If you really want, you can use your SOP more as a supplement but not as a necessity.
Even it's clearly mention on the SPP/General visa checklist that,
I quote:
“***DO NOT PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS UNLESS REQUESTED TO DO SO BY A VISA OFFICER, OR YOUR FILE WILL NOT BE GIVEN PRIORITY PROCESSING”
Hi Enfied,
