Need your help. I’m in the process of applying for my permit and have a question regarding my finances. My father sold a property to help fund my expenses, but due to concerns about foreign money being withheld or not being able to withdraw it (a common issue in 3rd world countries ), he didn’t want to deposit the money.
There were about 38k CAD in his bank account before paying my tuition fees but that has been in his account for like 6 years and he didn’t deposit nor withdraw since.
Now that the USD crisis has eased, he plans to deposit the remaining amount. The problem is the sale occurred about seven months ago, and I don’t know how will the visa officer think when I’m just depositing the money now. Will this cause any issues with my permit application?
IRCC wants proof of where funds come from. Pretty unusual to keep that much cash at home and then deposit it half a year later which is why you should include an explanation.

Yeah I get that, I explained why my father did that above , I just need to know how will the visa officer interpret it? Will he find it unusual? I’m pretty sure 99% of people in my country don’t put their USD in the bank unless really necessary
But you know that you can no longer change DLIs on same study permit. So you can no longer transfer to U of M without applying for a new study permit. For that permit, you will need to show additional funds above and beyond what you are using now for proof of funds.

Yeah I know that , I would have gotten the extra funds by then , that was the initial plan even if I was extending but I still need advice on my initial problem which I outlined above
