I would really appreciate if someone can can help with question 14 of IMM5540E.
Question 14: has your spouse has met any of your close friends or family?
My husband has met close family and friends as well as my extended family. What does the question mean by close family? Is it only my parents and siblings or does that include, my uncles, aunts and cousins and etc. There is a table for that which I have to put the names and the relationships. There are at least 50 of my family members who have met him. Do I have to name every single of them and put them in the table?
"close friends and family" means what you want it to mean. who are the people in your life he has met? that is what they want to know. if he's met 50 people, great, feel free to list every single one of them. or you can group them together: he met my immediate family such as so and so and so and so. he met my college friends, he's hung out with my extended family at family events, etc. if you need extra room, then use another piece of paper. the number of people in your life doesn't necessarily matter, it's whether you guys share your life together with family and friends and don't hide your relationship for whatever reason.

Thank you, this helped. The only reason I asked was because of the table they had provided. I wasn't sure if I have to include everyone on that table. It will be at least a few pages. I guess, the photos will help too as we had lunches and dinners and other family gatherings beside from the wedding and the engagement.
'Close friends and family' means 'close friends' and 'any family members'. However, you certainly do not have to list all of the people he has met. I would attach a separate sheet of paper and list more than the five (? or so) that there are room for on the form. CIC does not have a definition here about how close the people have to be to be listed. The more family members he has met, the better, however.
I think the question is self explanatory. Close friends simply means any friends who you are very close to, most people have just 2 or 3 of these.
Family means your parents, brothers and sisters. I don't think the extended family ( aunts/uncles etc) are that important. In a normal marriage it is common and expected for a spouse to meet the parents of his/her partner and brothers or sisters if at all possible. The bottom line is that it has to make sense to the person evaluating your application.
In my case my wife did not meet any of my family as I am from Canada and she has never been there. I did meet her family on a few occasions ( mom, dad, brothers and sisters) and had several photos to prove this.
