Hi All

On the form 5540, question 14, it asks if my spouse has met close friends and familly members.

  • For No, it says to explain why and to use a separate sheet of paper if needed
  • For Yes (our case), it asks for their names, date they spouse met them and relationship to me.

However, they are only providing 6 lines and they are not mentionning to provide additional sheet if needed for a "Yes".

I know, to be safe, I can list all the familly members and close friends my wife met in the last 6 years on a separate sheet but I don't think it's realistic to expect that we will remember the exact dates for all familly members.

I'm affraid if I include only my close family and some friends, they might consider it doesn't match with all the pictures in which some includes my aunts, uncles, etc..

What do you suggest? what have you guys done on your side? Should I try to list every single person my wife met? ???

Thanks in advance

I included this information in the "relationship essay" that we included with our package. I also put photos in the essay (PDF document) that pertained to meeting key members of each others family.

Any of those options are ok, you can just put your closest family members to fill the list (that's what we did), or put "see additional paper" and list more if you like.
