Need help Application status

Hi All,

I applied for Canadian PR through Buffalo office USA in Oct 2008. However due to economic slow down i came back to India in Oct 2008 itself.

i do not have any other address in USA hence not able to communicate different address to consulate.

Seniors and all well wishers i need your valuable comments on below concerns

1. Need to know whether consulate will reject my application since i haven't contacted them for address change. please note i haven't received any mail from them.

2. please suggest me best method to know the status of my Application from the consulate. i don't have any reference number.

3. Is there any possibility to continue my application. i may go back to USA next month.

You could have given ur friends address in USA, the other option is give them ur INdia address.
Communicate this ASAP as 8 momths is a long time, did you check if you have received any mails on the address which u gave them initially.

They might have communicated with you already to your old address. You need to find out if you got any mail at your old address.

right, send a letter to them immediately communicating the change of address...

then, i'd suggest you order CAIPS notes to know where you currently stand and based on that, you can draft your next response to CIC

Hi,

There is no need to apply for CAIPS notes as yet. Email Buffalo with your information and ask the status. If you are not planning to get back to USA, transfer your application to India. Did you try setting up forward mail to your address in india from usa?

I decided to write a letter to consulate about my address change (from USA to my native country). is it ok to contact them directly or i should go through a lawyer.
