Hello friends

I received my COPR and Immigration visa to travel to Canada

When I applied for PR I was in canada and my status was single

however since last two years I am in India and now travelling back.
My status is changed now.I have filled web form and informed IRCC about it as well

my query is when I will land in canada will there be any trouble because my status on COPR is still single

please advise

You cannot use your current COPR to land. Doing this will be misrepresentation and will also mean you can never sponsor your spouse for PR.

You have to notify IRCC that you are now married, return your COPR and then submit all of the paperwork to add your spouse to your application. You must then wait for IRCC to process your spouse's paperwork. This process will take at least an additional 4-6 months, possibly longer. Once IRCC has completed this processing, they willl issue a new COPR to you showing that you are married.

What have your status changed to? If you are married and then doviced.. then it may not be as big as an issue.
But if you are married or now have a new baby or are in a common law relationship, then do not land with the COPR that has "single" martial status on it.

As said above, you will never been able to sponsor your spouse or that child or your common law partner if you do.
