Need advice about security check for outland application and wait time! please

Hi. im "in process" for almost 3 months now which is extremely frustrating..

I had personal interview dec18- basically got approved with the genium thing there and was asked to pay the RPRF fee of 490$ and also to do fingerprints in local police and send it to the office so they can pull out my record from Canada something like that. so i did both and i waited and waited and no news

decided to go to visa office to ask about the status and they told me they still waiting for the "record" that suppose to come from Canada! i don't understand why it takes so long over 2 months!

also in the meantime my medical exam expire this month so i asked there if i should do it again or something and she told me not to worry about it because if its their fault than they take care of it i guess they will extend it for me but is that means more delay?

is there a way for me to track down the criminal record that they suppose to get from Canada?

lol thanks! my lawyer told me also to be paitent and that my application will be done soon... but its just like it doesnt move its like they dont even look at my file this is how i feel

Processing time for paper based fingerprints is 18 wks. however, u can email RCMP for status of ur application.

what do i make of this? so can i mail them and actually get an answer even though the visa office is the one who is dealing with them and not me? i only mailed my fingerprints to the visa office so i had no interaction with the canadian police

yes. U can email RCMP with all ur details as specified on website n they will reply u back. My mom in law's fingerprints were taken at overseas vo in mid nov. We inquired frm RCMP n were told tht results hv bn sent back in first wk of feb. Urs were done a month later. So hopefully they shd hv gone back by now.

If its really 18 weeks this is bad! really bad!
that means i can get my corp only in end of april!! this is not good really not fair also because I already got approved and this is the only thing the embessy is missing now to issue my visa

I emailed RCMP for status check but i really think im going to get dissapointed....

anyone here have experience with RCMP and can tell me how long it took for them to issue the record??
