hi, well I am a Canadian citizen since 2007, I am to apply my wife's sponsorship application, hopefully in ist week of December or in the mid, I have son who was born in 2012, cause I was citizen the time my child got birth, do I still have to put his name in the dependent, where as I have my child passport and proof of citizenship certificate in hand.. do I still have to put his name in the dependent child?

You do not need to list your child as dependent for PR since your child is Canadian. However you do need to list the child in IMM5406 under Section B and in IMM5481 under 6. B).

			Hi

Please help me in this regards.

Did you declare your children when you landed as PR? When did you land as PR? I hope you have at least list them back then.

I think they are not fullfilling the residency obligation (730 days) in the past five years. I need to ask If I apply for their citizenship certificate after two years from now keeping the fact they are living with me (as I am Canadian Citizen). Will that be good enough for fulfill the requirements of RO.

Hi,
My Scenario
___________
I have become a naturalized Canadian Citizen in Nov 2014. I have two sons elder one was born in 2006
and younger one was born 2008. Both are landed Canadian Immigrants in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
The PR card of elder son has been expired in 2012 and PR card for younger son is valid till Nov 2015.
My Wife also Landed Immigrant in 2007 and her PR card is also expired in 2012.
All of them left Canada in 2012 due to some serious family issues and living back home since then.
The residensy obligation is unfortunately was not fullfilled by all of them. This means my wife and
elder son cannot enter Canada again. I have applied for a travel document for them but local Canadian
Highcommision declined the Travel Document Application. I need my Wife and Children back in Canada before
the expiry of my younger son's PR Card i.e. Nov 2015.
My Questions
1) How to retain residency for All of them?
2) I believe my sons are not eligible for Canadian Citizenship as descent, so I cannot proceed with
"Citizenship Certificate Application" followed by "Canadian Passport Application"? So I need to
apply "Canadian Citizenship as Minor" for them.
3) If they are living with me for next two year will that be good enough for CIC to maintain/accept
residency days outside Canada? and maintain residency obligation?
4) What advantage can be taken from my Canadian Citizenship for them.
5) If I want to secure the children Canadian Citizenship, what steps do I have to take?
6) If I want to secure the spouse Canadian Citizenship, what steps do I have to take?
This is a very complex situation for me to handle these. I need someone's expert advice and guidance
for best possible way out and achievement of ultimate goal for "Canadian Citizenship" for all of my
family. I know any child born outside Canada to a Canadian Parent will automatically eligible for
citizenship certificate.

Please stop posting the same question over and over again all over the forum. This is considered to be very rude behaviour. You've already posted your question in the Citizenship section of this forum - this is the right place and someone will answer your question there.

My understanding is that once CIC reject giving travel document due to not fulfilling RO. it means that they have officially lost their PR status.
You would have to sponsor them for PR again.

You cannot pass on your Canadian citizenship to your children because you were not Canadian at time of their birth. You would have to sponsor them for PR first. Once they are PR, or that they are already PR, you can submit for Canadian citizenship application. The children would still need to maintain their PR status (stay in Canada 2 years out of 5).

Hi,
My sister in law obtained her citizenship in 2002 and that time she didn't include her 2 daughters (one born in 1999 and one in 2001) in her application, will she still be able to sponsor them?
Thanks I am so happy to have found this forum

Hi everyone,
Me n my husband both are naturalized Canadian citizen n we live in Canada. Now I’m three months pregnant. I’m planning to give birth my baby in my home country (Bangladesh). But I’m worried about the processing time for my baby to get her/his Canadian passport because my husband can have only one and a half months parental leave and we want to come back together in Canada. So can anyone tell me how long it will take for a newborn to get her/his passport while born abroad?

You will need the baby's Bangladeshi birth certificate first. Getting your child's passport can't be done in 1.5 months from the birth. Is you husband going to book a ticket when you go into labour? You will have to travel much earlier.
