Quick question. I am using new application kit to sponsor my wife. I am sponsor.Do i need to fill my(sponsor) travell details in section (3)?TRAVELL DETAILS OF YOUR SPOUSE/COMMON LAW PARTNER.

Gal, it took over 5weeks. We sent passport on December 5th. Visa was stamped on Jan 20th. Picked it up on the 25th. That's a almond 6weeks...huh! All the best dear

Hi, we are in the same situation but in two different countries. My wife lives in hargeisa and she got approved in december. I paid the IOM fees early december, and till now we are waiting for her single journey document. I heard it can take up 60 days.

i have a question regarding the passport. Do they request for the somali passport to attach or stamp the visa or do they send something completely different for those travelling from places like hargeisa? ...since they don't recognize the Somali passport. Thanks in advance!

They might request the Soomaali passport; however once they receive the passport and since they don't recognize it, they will ask you to deal with IOM office in Ottawa, who will instruct you to pay the ticket funds to IOM headquarters in New York. When the IOM NY receives the ticket funds, they will confirm with the High Commission in Nairobi, who will then start the process of single journey travel document and confirmation for permanent residence visa. This will take up to two months.

We did what I just wrote above in December 2016. And we landed on February 23rd. I travelled with my spouse and daughter from Nairobi.

currently my file is in processes in this visa office, and i want to know the trend on how they are working to have a heads up about next move for every step.

Any timeline or comment is most welcomed. we all knows how frustrating the waiting is

I sponsored my wife and the process is eligibility review right now. I am Somali canadian, < my question is Does anybody here know how they give visa to Somalians since the somali passport is no longer stamped?
