Hi everyone :D

My family and i went to Canada when i was 8 years old. We got our PR cards and stayed in Canada for about 1.5 years. When i was 10 (1.5 years later), we came back to my home country because my granpa had a heart problem. My parents told me we were going to go back to Canada (i wanted to go back) but we never did. Now i am 22 years old, i graduated from university and i'm a mechanical engineer- and i want to go back to Canada ;D. My PR card expired at 2008, but there was nothing i could do to renew it (i was a kid :'(). What am i supposed to do to renew my PR card? How can i tell the Canadian government about my condition? (That i was unable to renew my PR card as a child). What are the chances that my application will be accepted?

Any help would be fine :)

Thanks!

You need to apply for a PR Travel Document and explain that you were removed from Canada as a child by your parents and now want to return to live there permanently. It's difficult to say what your chances are of being approved. You would have been much better off applying for the Travel Document a few years ago (e.g. 18 or 19 years old). You have now been an adult for several years and made the decision to complete your schooling outside of Canada instead of returning to Canada. So it's possible CIC may say it's too late and you are too old. But by all means give it a try.
