Hi Johnny,

Thanks for the informative responses. I am interested to apply for PR through CEC . I have noticed we are of the same NOC 0631. I have taken my IELTS results with an average of Band 6 but i have band 5 in writing. Do i qualify for CEC application? thanks for your help.

No - you need to score atleast a "6" in all four categories in order to be eligible for CEC under your NOC code.

No, Minimum of 6 in each band. Manitoba PNP skilled worker is closed for this year.

Thanks Johnny31,I was a bit tense,as my friends told i would get 16 points only. as i needed atleast 17 points for qualifying.
I have mentioned points that i would get against each section.
i meant

section: points
age: 12 points
education:23 points
experience: 15 points

Your total like I said is 18 points from your IELTS -

4 points each for Listening and Writing
5 points each for Reading and Speaking

Therefore - you're Eligible to apply. And you should ignore your friend because he/she is 100% wrong.
