Dear Friends,
I observed, my background status changed from "We received your application the next step is to conduct background check" to "Not Applicable".
What is the significance of this status and what will be the nest step? Need your help to understand.
Its normal and positive for your status to change to not applicable however you are not yet close to PPR, it takes another few months from 3 to 4 months before it changes again to In progress then you will be very close to PPR which you may receive in one week or one month.
i applied on 11th Feb, and around 10th March (approx. 1 month after) my medical status was passed. Only wondering by when can i expect PPR, as currently not in India until June end ...

I got PPR while my background check was still "Not Applicable." It never changed until after they received my passport copies. Others have reported the same. Since early this year, the background check status is not a reliable way to figure out where your app is in the process.
