I hold a PhD degree from a known UK university. Does anyone know whether there exist any Mutual Recognition Agreement of academic degrees between UK and Qebec or between UK and Canada ? If so, please give me a link for such info. Thanks

Good Fariza,
I had just submitted my application to the World Education Service in Canada. I prefer this one , because you can use it internationally for employment and educational purposes.
I have just submitted my masters Degree to be included to my other credentials that were already evaluated.
I also submitted my bachelor's Degree Evaluation with my application. Since they are still processing my file , i decided to evalaute my Master's Degree , in case they ask me for any document update i will then send it along with the documents.

I hope it will be helpful also to my application.

Thanks Fariza.

Pleasure Canadaforall. In fact its pasted from the threads of one of our great member Kanamen. He deserves the real thanks.
Its good to know that you have already ahead of doing the credential evaluation. How much did you pay and how long will it take to get the report. Pl share when you are done. Good luck on your efforts.

I have all the information already, so i can share now. For the fees, it depends on the type of evaluation you want,
Document by document is 115 Canadian Dollars for basic evaluation, which is what we need for employment and immigration. Course by course is for those who want to study in the higher institutions in Canada. It is 145 Canadian dollars. Well the length of time, now depends on your universities, where you have studied. This is because the degree will be verified by the World Education Service. They will send a letter to your University for verification and if the university replies as soon as possible, then it will take 7 working days for the evaluation.

In my case it is going to be easy , since i had already evaluated my Bachelor's Degree and now is only my master's that they have to evaluate. I am just hoping hoping all should be fine with my file.

Fariza, i can not understand, why the visa office is keeping you waiting on the bench for such a long time. People like us can wait , because our applications have gone nowhere with the processing. They are unfair, i personally do not feel happy especially with those who are re-doing medicals. It is so painful.

Just praying and hope everything goes right from now on.

Wish us good luck.

Thanx but i don't understand why not an academic transcript from Internationally recognized Uni work as a document for evaluation and in support of credential recognition!!! If the WES have to ask the concerned uni... all they could refer is the transcript and issued certificate.... However we don't really have any choice but to go through anyways....

Yes its really very frustrating been keeping on hold nearly final stages for no good reasons.... Visa here will run out by this month and might have to invest several hundred dollar to extend AUS visa just for keep waiting to get the CAN visa.... Its just ripping us off!!

Yes it is indeed very unfair for those having to do re-medical for reason which not at all they were responsible or had any control over....Its just one way traffic... once you start walking.... you can cripple but couldn't turn back or seek any any around..... no choice but have to step like a blind turtles towards the destination leaving the luck/certainty of arrival only on GOD.... Nothing second you will have to compare the way it goes and acts in your life!!!! All the best friend

Yes, my friend they are very strict about international transcripts. It has to be sent directly by the university to WES, and they will compare it with the copies you sent already to them, when you sent in your application.

Yes , God has the final say. Lets hope he does it at the end of the day.

I have an extra copy of sealed transcripts from my international university (I requested 2 copies in requirement my CAN IMM application)... Will that work? Is it the WES or applicant has to request for sending transcript from the uni to WES? Well I am not applying it right now but will do once I can land only when GOD permits

Hi Fariza,
If you fill the application, a form will appear, after you have finished filling and you have to print the form. After printing , there is a section you have to fill it and then send to your university to complete the other section. When they complete that section, it instructs them to attach your transcripts and certificates and send to WES. You will also be instructed to send clear photo copies of certificates, diploma supplements and transcripts. Finally when they receive the 2 , they will then compare t o see if it reads exactly the same. That is why immigrants are suffering a lot , because the process is so complex and takes a lot of time.

This is how WES does it so i do not know about other evaluation agencies, like i told you before , i just like WES , because it can be used internationally.

No , it will not work with the sealed transcripts, the university has to issue it directly to WES. Yes you can do it at anytime. I am just doing it , because i a m still in t he country , where i did my masters and it is easy to get to them to ask for the papers to be forwarded to WES. If i move from here, then i have to be posting mails internationally.

Please if you need the form i can send a sample to you e.mail. Just let me know i will do it. Pmm me with your e.mail
Wish thinga work well for us.
