How can someone apply for a multiple entry visa? What are the chances that they will be granted one if they have family in canada and have a spousal sponsorship process going?
I am a canadian citizen and I'm sponsoring my husband from iraq. Would he be able to get a multiple entry visa?
I don't think anyone here could answer whether your husband would be able to get a multiple entry visa.
To answer your first question, the applicant will have to complete the application forms and submit it with other supporting documents (see checklist) to the consulate/embassy/ visa application centres.
Everyone who applies for a TRV is automatically considered for a multiple. However, the chances in your case are extremely low that he will get one given your situation (husband in military, political instability, pregnant wife in Canada).
Yes when he applies, he's automatically considered for multiple, but to get a multiple, he has to have a really good case, such as employment, ties to home, assets, etc.
It won't hurt to try, but you should fully expect a refusal, and don't be disappointed if you do get a refusal. It happens a lot, even to people whose situation is not as bad as your husband's. A lot of people who work normal jobs in stable countries get refused visitor visas to see their spouse.
