My parents are on multiple entry visitor visa where they can stay for a maximum of 6 months at a time. I was wondering if they travel to US (they have US visitor visa), can they come back and stay for another 6 months? (Hence, not going back to India, but still exiting Canada)

They could either get waved thru for another six months , get in for a reduced time period , or we’ve seen where individuals are denied entry .
Why don’t they just request an extension to their stay ?
Note ; there’s a pandemic going on right now , why would they even think of be leaving the country to attempt this ?
They are “ visitors”, they are not guaranteed anything when they attempt to re enter @ the POE
They can’t be seen as attempting to circumvent the system to be living in Canada. They are foreign national visitors

Thank you! Their 6 month stay will end in May, so I was just wondering. I understand travel to US isn't possible at the moment. I was just thinking how leaving Canada to go back to home country is different that going elsewhere. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!!
