Multiple entry student s-1 visa queries (Seniors - Please help)

I'm from india and I have the got the Student - S1 Multiple visa for Canada.

Can any tell me what, this S1 category really means?

what is multiple entries. (is it flexibility of coming to india and going to canada?)

Once I reach Canada how do I apply for work permit and how much time would it take for me to get the work permit

Please help me understand .

Student - S1 is TRV, you get your Student Permit at the time of Port of entry they stamps in your PP

Multiple entry in the sense.. you can leave canada and enter back as many times as you like..

Student Off campus work permit - you need to wait 6 months to apply this

SPGW - you need to apply before 2 months the end of course time.. (if am i right)

s1 means student visa.multiple entry is u can enter canada any number of time till the validity of ur visa..u can apply for work permit that is offcapmus work permit after 6months of study....

ur university or college must have provided u a guide if u read it...... normally it will have a link to information on how to apply off campus work permit...
