Got the Student - S1 visa for canada

I'm from india and I have the got the Student - S1 visa for Canada.

Can any tell me what, this S1 category really means?

Once I reach Canada how do I apply for work permit and how much time would it take for me to get the work permit

u can apply for off campus work after 6 months and u have to obtain good grades in first semester also

You have to do six months of classes to work permit
and it usually takes 2-3 months
