That is a personal choice that's completely up to you. Everyone here would give you an answer based on their personal perspective, an I'm no different.
I wouldn't do it.
I would look at it this way.
Would you rather risk about 10-20% higher amount on your overall ticket after getting the visa? or would you risk 100% of the total ticket before getting the visa?
If the ticket costs 1000 bucks if you book it in advance, versus 1200 if you book it later, I don't see it as I saved 200 if I book earlier. I see it as I save 1000 if I book it later.

You can ask your supporter to follow it.up at the MPNP office...or visit the office personally...just what we did. ...and they are very accommodating...

Good evening. Please can anyone clarify on the paths that are involved after LOA and what determines the path that an applicant is expected to follow?
I'll let her know, last time she visit the office, they told her that my application is at 3rd officer! It has been like more then a month!Still nothing! Thank you for your reply!
Download all the forms and read the instructions multiple times before filling them up and sending them.

I got my file transfer to my local visa office(NDVO) and they send me an email with AOR yesterday. Within just 17days of confirmation from CIC. see my timeline below.
File received : 2nd March
UCI/Application No from CIC : 24th Arpil
AOR(NDVO) : 11th May.
