guys what category is cook?
reason asking my friend got approval letter and it doesnt say anything about ielts. the approval letter was sent by friend's lawyer and lawyer is not responding his emails.

question is, is he suppose to write ielts before he can apply to CIO Nova Scotia?

And what about the status on the ECAS. Does that reflect anything about their emails?
For example, the status before getting a medicals request would be something like:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January xx, 20xx.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March xx, 20xx.
3. We started processing your application on March xx, 20xx.

Does the above change when they send the Medical request?

no, there wont be any changes, the changes will occur after u did ur medicals, now
4 Medical recieved, and ur application status will stil be in proces,
5 RPR recieved,
ur status will stil be in process, so after u sent ur passports and passport to them and they your traveling visa is attached, thats the time your ECAS status will change to DECISION MADE

see guy u will need to relax very well, infact i will advise u to forget that u submit any application until after 6 months, the processing time now is 15 months, especially if ur VO is in ACCRA

Hi there,
I am a Nurse who applied in early June 2014, assessment pending since March 2015, no sign of progress after that. Called them on phone, wasn't the satisfactory answer from them. They say applications from nurses and teachers are not in high demand, therefore they cant predict when they will serve those occcupations.

Dear Member,
Please dont force others who are stuck in processing to drop their hopes. IT IS A TEMPORARY PAUSE RATHER THAN AN INDEFINITE ONE. I am 100% sure that soon there will a lift up for these occupations. Health workers are an asset for every country and they cant meet the demand in these professions locally. What I have evidenced from last two years that a strong migration of nurses from Philippines have halted it temporary because it had created an imbalance and this occupation was oversupplied.

This is due to lack of effective strategies put on this program by immigration Manitoba. If they would have taken industry consultations before forming immigration plan, I think, they only chose certain numbers of applications in each professions from beginning. I have seen that applicants even from Jan 2014 are waiting for their turn and those who submitted 3-4 months ago are near their finishing lines,,, Not a FAIR ONE.

Is it officially declared that nurses need 7 band? I know there were few cases who got rejected for not having strong IELTS score. Kindly explain it further.

After File Transfer, I strongly doubt that you will now be rejected because of IELTS score. CIC has at this stage already checked that all your documents are there and that they meet the minimum requirements.

If your IELTS score was too low I assume they would have told you by now.

Have faith, you will get COPR!

Thank you very much for your comments. They also replied and ask to wait, but how long...my sister's status pending since Nov 2015. Is your ielts score is high enough? What if you get another work experience during the waiting time.
