I want to apply for MPNP under general stream. My auntie ( my father's cousin) want to sponsor me. But I have brother in Alberta which is already PR. Am I eligible to apply under MPNP?

What will be the normal timeline under General stream? THANKS

Based on my experience, provided you can show them that you are trully planning to settle and live in Manitoba then there should not be a problem.
My brother is a Canadian citizen living in Ontario. I was interviewed though, so I think they are really trying to see your real intention in seeking their nomination.

But my sponsor has submitted the papers by going to the Winnipeg office . Now do I get any confirmation by mail also . Does anyone has any clue .

If you have provided your email on your application, you will receive an email confirmation that they have received it. My sponsor submit the paper response to the office in Winnipeg too.

Estimated processing time of Manitoba PNP part is 3-12 months. Estimated time of Federal part is 6-8 months. Total estimated processing time of Manitoba PNP application is 9-20 months from the date the application is submitted. It is definitely depends on the specific complexity of each application.

I think in both province you have close relatives. You have to decide on which province you like to live permanently. You can apply General Stream in MPNP with your supporter (Auntie) but still please read details from the authentic site provided below as it is not fixed for all times.

MPNP = Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
AINP = Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program

Self assessment points: 71
Intended occupation: manufacturing/sales and operations manager
Application date: 4 June 2014
File number received: 5 June 2014
Sp2 sent: 5 June 2014

Our sponsor had a problem with the sp2 though before sending it.. She told us that our file number won't fit in the space provided. So after answering the first page, she printed it out then wrote our file number then scanned it.
Questions:
How come file number won't fit? She included the MB in front of the numbers and it is really part of the file number right?

Will they accept that kind of sp2(first page printed and file number handwritten)?
If not, then what should we do..

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hv u submitted SP2, if so, from that day approximately maximum 8 months will require to get LOA. It depends, consider that u submitted all required docs in detail.

If u r lucky enough it may come within six months also. Good luck

Mine was received by CIO on April 4, 2014. I received and email acknowledgement stating that they have received my payment and that my application is now being placed into process and my file number last May 3.

Based on the e-cas my status is still application received - isn't that weird?! :
