Hi Althea,
Is it true that the dependants also need the IELTS? I'll check this with my friend. On my application, I'm the only one who takes the IELTS exam not knowing that my wife also need this.

Hi
there is no need for dependants to take ielts. It is only mandatory for principal applicant.

Hi there
I went to Winnipeg offices and sat in the seminar.
The immigration office told us that if the principal applicant and their spouse takes the test it is more beneficial for your application.
Also when you fill out the eligibility form online, there is a tab to record your spouses test scores. Thereafter the system calculates your scores.
My advice.............do it. You spend a little more money but its worth it.

What is the current timeline at the cic stage? Plz also guide abt upfront medical exam. Thanks.
Its been 3 months after the initial interview of the sponsors. Still waiting for their decision. I dont know what makes them take so long these days. Is this normal waiting or bit too much?

when we undertook this process it was a given that there would be waiting periods. some longer than others but in the end our statuses change, we get LOA's and our visas.
I understand your frustration as well............but you need to go on living your life, and just be prepared for the times when your processing starts moving forward.
don't ever give up hope, God has and always will be walking with us no matter what paths we choose.
remember these words:
THE TEACHER IS SILENT WHEN THE CLASS IS TAKING A TEST!!!
Stay positive, come to the forum for your daily dose of inspiration when you feel down, lean on us, we will get through this together.
