Just want to share my experience. So I applied under Family Stream sponsored by my first cousin in Winnepeg and I'm in Alberta as a contract worker for 2 years the time I applied (November 2009) but my application was refused. the reason stated was:

... you were not able to demonstrate that your ties to Manitoba are stronger than the ties you may have to Alberta where you have been working since 2007. As a result, your application for nomination by the Province of Manitoba cannot be approved because you failed to demonstrate your intention to establish permanently in Manitoba

So for those in the same boat, goodluck on your application and find ways to make your application strong so you won't get refused.

dear
i have submitted all my info to an immigration office on the internet and they said im eligible to apply under the Quebec Skilled Worker category of immigration but im surprise for that decision coz i dont speak french at all .
my advice to apply for easier provinces like manitoba if u think u will not get their score
dont waste ur time
i have applied for general skilled worker since 2007 and wait for 3 years and got refused
if i applied to Manitoba im sure i can get it coz MPNP score is less than general skilled worker
u didnt tell me where r u from if u dont mind ?

Hi Everyone!

I'm still in the process of completing my application forms and documents, can I ask you guys how did you complete the MAPP Form, (Language Ability) there's a portion that asks: "Have you studied English as a Foreign Language?" , how do I compute for the "HOURS OF INSTRUCTION" kasi here in the Philippines everyone of us naman started learning the English Language since pre school diba? pano kaya magcompute? Need your help!

mmclaro - buti ka pa nainterview na ang sponsor mo .. good luck sau.. thanks for praying for all of us.. naghihintay pa rin kami ng interview sa sponsor kse up to now wala pa rin eh. April 1 ang AOR ko. btw, baka pwede mong maishare yung interview kung anong mga naitanong.
