Hello ALL!
So I've applied for PR in Canada...and hoping that everything gets finalized in a few months. Just trying to do research before hand so I know what to expect. I couldn't find any topics here about this...sorry if it has already been posted or what not....
So after getting my 'landing papers' I would like bring my property such as regular household stuff that I already own..including my car that was purchased in 2006..(it's a '07 Scion TC). I wanted to know if there is anyone here who has gone through bringing their stuff across the border, in particular a car...what procedure did you follow!??! Did you pay taxes?? From what I have understood so far...bringing a car that you just purchased and a car that you already own equals 2 separate procedures....
PLEASE HELP!! THANKS!

1. For the Car, you have to own the car, as you have to fax the title to the US export office 72 hours before you export it. You either need the clear title or permission from the lender to export. See: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/basic_trade/export_docs/motor_vehicle.xml
2. The it has to be imported into Canada if it is admissible see: www.riv.ca
