This forum has been super helpful with getting through various steps of the Express Entry process! I saw a few threads on moving with pets, but I wanted to see if someone recently moved to Canada with a pet.
I am moving with my cat, and we are currently in New York. I have his rabies + health certificates ready for the move. I am trying to decide if we should fly or drive to Toronto. I am very anxious about bringing my cat to the airport and he is quite big (19 lb), so I am afraid that the airline will only let him fly in cargo which I definitely don't want to happen, so I am leaning towards driving. Do you know if the time it takes to go through the landing/custom procedures differs much between air vs land entry? Is there a specific POE/time of the day that you'd recommend to cross the border? If anyone moved with their pet, please share your story!
