we are moving on the 3rd quarter this year. container sharing will not be ideal not unless your are living to each other since shipping company will only consider one address. you can use groupage where different shipper will be combine in one container but shipping company will handle it as a separate shipments.

we have sent it by Sea Cargo @ 1250 AED per Cubic meter. minimum 3 Cubic meter to be booked. Cars we sold it in Auto Village.Furnitures through reference.As far as Cubic meter is concerned we need not worry about the weight. Each Cubic meter will accomodate 6 standard size boxes supplied by cargo company.we are planning to bring our furnitures ( Teak wood) from India at a later stage.

jimshady is right. but for my case, i was just a bit lucky that I didnt have to go to the port for clearance. I just emailed them the "Goods to Follow" document that I have and stamped by the Customs during our landing about 3 years ago.
