I'm moving out of country after recently having been granted my citizenship. I'm moving for a couple of years probably to be closer to an ailing dad. Will that be a problem or create any issues? Where does the intent to reside play here?

You can still lose it once the new rule is fully implemented. If the OP was convicted of terrorism or the like, the OP can lose citizenship. The loss of citizenship due to being convicted of terrorism applies to every dual citizens, regardless of when they acquired it.
