Hi ,

Iam from Hyderabad..India..going to apply for CEC next week. I have renewed my passport in 2011 , but unfortunately , my mother's name was not printed on the passport(it was printed in the expired passport). It was done erroneously by the Passport office. I have found out the same recently . I came to know that it can be rectified by applying for a new passport , but a new passport issuance will take a lot of time.

Please let me know will that be a serious problem for CEC or shall I put an explanation in a separate paper ?

Thanks...

Instead of the birth certificate, include your class 10 marksheet if it includes the necessary information.

1. Immaterial to your application. Passports can't be used for proof of birth, you either require a birth certificate or if from India your 10 which has your parents names.
