Most Important:: Parents Visit Visa

Hello Sir / Madam

Just want your opion regarding following issue in my parents visit visa

My parents have already visitor visa on their old passport which is going to expire on Mid of Dec 2022.

They could not visit canada due to some family and covid issues etc.

But they have plan to visit me ( daughter ) in coming spring ( march 2023). They have got new passport issued 3 month ago too. In other words they have valid visa on the old passport but not on new passport.

My question is that : Can i apply new visit visa on new passport even though they have valid visa on old passport until mid of dec 2022???.

But they donot have plan to visit in this winter. They want to visit in coming spring.

Yes you can apply for new visa. Hopefully they’ll get expedited under CAN+.

They should apply as soon as possible if they’d like to travel in March 2023. They shouldn’t purchase a flight (especially non-refundable) until they’ve secured their visa.

Yes they can apply. There is no need to wait until the other visa expires.
