They usually send invitations 2 weeks before the ceremonies or 1 month before. Tomorrow they should send the missing invitations for June 19 and June 21.
And for the July 1 ceremonies, the invitations should be sent not later than June 19.
My friend who applied in October and had a fingerprint request in January just received her test invite today!! Test next Thursday, June 21 (jeez they really don't give you much notice after waiting 6+ month for it... boom, be available next week!)
I am crossing fingers I'll be in the same batch. Has anyone else from this forum receive a test invite today?
from the tracking sheet it looks like the average number of days between oath letter and ceremony date is 24 days. the rage is from 13 days to 34 days. of course we will never the reason behind the variation but at least we have an idea.
good luck!
Just want to contribute to your discussion based on my experience with CIC :
1- I never received my OAT by mail and they never updated my Ecas from DM to OAT
2- I received my OAT by email so make sure to check your junk box on a daily basis
3- Its funny coz they mention not to show up if you don’t receive the invite by mail which is a nonsense since I never received it and just showed up with my email confirmation
4- I had no access to a computer to print the confirmation email and form, so one of the security agent didn’t want to let me in, another one was ok with me showing it on my phone
5- So plz print it, if you don’t, there is a chance security will not admit you however once you pass securiy, the CIC agents will provide you with a duplicate copy but security isn’t aware of that of course
6- Make sure your guests arrive early as there is not enough place to accommodate everyone
7- You will need to wait 48h before applying for a passport. If you go in person at Service Canada, you will probably be rejected as I was today since they ask for 3 days at the admission... again a disconnect between what was said at the ceremony and the passport officer
8- Before going to passeport Canada please check that your ecase has been changed to « completed » and that you’re a Canadian citizen since *** date
9- If your ecas has been effectively changed after 48 hours you need to insist and tell the admission agent And the agent that will serve you at passport Canada. They are just lazy (sorry to use that word but I was told the same by 2 different agents) to check in the system if your process was completed or not. They even told me that they rejected many people before me. So they basically just reject you if you come before a 3 days window but I insisted and told them look I have checked my ecas before coming and took off from work so please have a look in the system.
7 ceremonies for July 1, that's like 1500 new citizens and only one person received an invitation. Where are the other invitations? What about the people in the other forums? I also called cic and they told me that they haven't sent me the invitation to the oath.

all the forums combined doesn't even count for 1% of the applicants in my opinion ... it's a very small sample size so even if no one is invited here doesn't mean they are not sending invitations
