How did you apply?

Was a bit tough I just filled the papers (lol much easier then everything we been through) the hard was I didn’t have a guarantor so I had to have 2additional contacts confirming who I am. Get to a commissioner of oath to sign an additional paper and the pic.
Got it after the week and lol they were all contacted (the 4 references)
Today btw I just voted for the qc election. That was soooooo exciting ...

I did my test on 4th July, it came early than i expected.

I was. The ceremony was in Plaza Antique

Became a citizen on Tuesday! What a relief (but also somehow I felt like the whole ceremony was anticlimactic, after everything I/we went through).
Voted the next day. Ironically enough, they didn't even ask me for proof of citizenship when I went to register as an elector, only asked me for my driver's license (lol makes me wonder the legitimacy of the election process, but that's for a different debate )

Congrats to all of those who are going through the oaths this week (apparently 4 ceremonies in a week!), and good luck to the people still waiting!! I think Montreal is actively working on their backlog, so you'll get there

Mine and my spouse status is updated to DM but my 8year old kid status is showing "In Process". Is it normal ? Any comments. We have given our test/interview last thursday.

Yes, it is. Kids always stay IP until the oath day.

I did my test on feb and just a couple of weeks i got the DM. So i guess everything is normal in this process.

I passed the test February and still in process. There are some applicants in this forum with the same situation. You don't need to worry.

Ok . Good news. Oath letter recieved today. Date 1 nov @9.

Do they start at 9 sharp or can i get there at 9:15 ?
