1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 18, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 7, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on January 16, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on October 28, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 22, 2019 at 7:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on November 29, 2019 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. You became a Canadian citizen on December 23, 2019.

After becoming citizen, if I get Indian OCI...how long can I stay in India, is there a limit?

After you get canadian passport the sequence of steps is to surrender your indian passport first and then apply for OCI, which allows you enter and exit India anytime and I dont think there is any time limit of stay.

I don’t think I want OCI, do I still have to surrender passport...?

Hey guys ,

do t forget to surrender Indian passport and don’t travel on it as there is a penalty.
India doesn’t allow dual citizenship, it’s compulsory to surrender it to be able to get OCI or visa.

Please check the sheet for the data, almost 101 persons on Jan 2019 have received test invite, and out of that one from Mississauga
