Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

If anyone ask I would suggest them to submit application by paper not online . I noticed people with paper applications get it done quicker

Please don’t. Because it’s not certain. All my friends are online applicants. They already got their citizenship. The one I mentioned above is paper and other friend of mine was family applicant which was paper application. Their processing time was 14 months. So it’s really depends. You never know tbh.

These people are really playing with our mind. The amount of frustration and anxiety we go through till it’s done not fun . My 10 month journey will done next Friday . Thank god !!

Agree, I don’t really understand why they have it to make it so painful for certain applicants.

I’m almost at the 11 month mark and I feel hopeless. Some people have been waiting for 2-3 years, so maybe I’ll be one of them too. I don’t know what to think anymore.

I totally understand you Debby. It’s frustrating I know. But trust me you’ll get yours by end of this month.

I am very pessimistic at this point, but I will definitely give an update here whenever I get any update.

Hi All , i applied Citizenship on Aug 2023 . Language , physical Presence and Test completed . Last update was on Jan 26th and after that it was struck . Is there any mail Id i can reach out to IRCC , I called them Few weeks back and their response was "its still in progress may take time" , Thanks in advance

At this point email won’t help in my opinion. I think filling out a webform is a good option. Also please contact with your MP. Because you already passed your processing time ( 8 months)

I’ve emailed the scheduling office twice (in January and last week) but didn’t get any response. You can try your luck:

Told by MP that as long as all the members of the batch finish all checks , I will be scheduled to oath........I don't know what to say..... why do I have to wait for others?

What?! That doesn’t make any sense. Do you have a group # in your GCMS notes? It should be on the first page. I know some people have it blank. I have a # instead (and it’s the same as my husband’s).

Honestly if what your MP told you is true, I’m losing all hope. Why do people need to wait for other people that don’t have anything to do with their application???
