Also, if they do indeed send the application back, do you know if we just put the missing document in and resend it or do we have to request new documents (i.e. FBI background check, etc)? Do they send it to the applicant or the sponsor? Thanks again!

They send to the address indicated,usually sponsor. (Hope your address is in Canada)

Yuo will hear different opinions. My view is review and update as much as possible to be sure (including if new forms)and resign. They might accept if something slightly out of date but why risk it? Things like most document copies and translations and photos should be fine.

I don't know about the police check. If easy and quick to get, I would get new. But I think cda will go to USA for police check anyway directly by infosharing.
