I am 16 years old from India. I want to get minor study visa in Canada. I saw the requirements and I am not certain about a few things. Please let me know if I can apply for it or not?
I do have an offer letter from a school in Saskatchewan. As per CIC, the rules says a minor student should have a parent or custodian in Canada. My parents have visitor visa and visit often about every six months to meet my sister. My sister is 22 years old has a work visa and will be applying for Express entry within few months. She certainly cannot sign up for my custody as CIC says the person should be a permanent resident and 25 or older in age.
I called CIC and asked they said I can still apply for student visa. I checked with a lawyer and she advised I can send a letter explaining my situation. Their might be a 50-50 chance.
But considering CIC rules and regulations, I am not sure how?
