Minimum Entry Criteria - CEC

Hi

I have submitted my PR application under CEC and need to know if I need to be employed during the application process? I already have the 1 year skilled work experience under TEER 3 and application is submitted. I got termination due to the closure of our company few days after submitting the e-APR. Need to know if being unemployed makes me ineligible for not meeting the minimum eligibility criteria under Express Entry?

If you have one year of skilled Canadian experience then still eligible for that stream. Work experience within last 3 years remains valid.

As long as you didn't claim job offer points, you're fine.

Thank you for reply. I am already meeting the CEC requirements. Do I also need to meet express entry "OWN" Minimum Eligibility Criteria to be employed all the time to remain as express entry candidate?

You must have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in the 3 years before you apply
