Hi, just an update on my parents’ TRV application, we received notification of PPR and biometric letter re it’s validity at the same time today.
Hope you’ll also receive an update soon.
We are still waiting
What I see visitors having military background from Pakistan take around 6 months to get PPR request.
It is highly likely that IRCC is running background checks on your dad. This could take even a few months depending on the country he has applied from + the information that IRCC has sought from third party sources.
If your dad had worked at senior levels in the police force/military or if he handled sensitive information or worked with certain organizations, etc you can expect more stringent background checks.
A decision on your mom's application can take as long as it takes for your dad. Hopefully she has presented her ties to her home country well
Thanks for your response

It's been more than 6 months now still the status is same

they are not even asking for any documents or anything. it's their second time they are applying. first time when they applied they waited for more than a year after that they withdraw the application and reapply. this is very much upsetting and painful

do have any suggestion for me that I should do ?

keep us updated .
Hi I think We did exactly the same thing, except my dad has already his military service record, he has it when he retired, I remember that only my dad requested a certification that he is receiving a monthly pension from the government to prove that he’s retired military. So we scanned those two records together with the service military records from CiC. I’m not sure if he went to camp aguinaldo or fort bonifacio for that. I’m gonna ask him and I will mesaage you again. Good luck
How long it took for your parents?
Today I was excited to see there was a message from CIC. When I opened it was just the Biometrics validity’s letter. Hopefully they will work on my parents application and get it moving. Fingers crossed.
For my father, we submitted that regular document where we said Yes in the last section somewhere and one specific document which asks for the dates, duration, rank and place where he served. We also included his last six months pension pay stubs. Finally he got approval within standard two weeks..
Normal they send PPR request next day or refusal letter, hoping to get PPR request tomorrow.
so happy for your parents

but still my parent's one still in the same condition

Let us know once you get PPR

Excitement, joy, over the moon, finally I got PPR for my parents. Stay blessed everyone.
Congratulations can you please share the time line?
