Myself. Haven't met my family since December 2022, and am waiting and that is all I can do. And idk why they take so long? it is just a visit visa

Did anyone get any positive response? Feeling really frustrated now as my parents application has passed more than 13 months now and still no response from IRCC. Also is there any tracker other than IRCC portal? If yes please share details.

Just putting my progress out here since most of us waiting indefinitely for any decision whatsoever.

Mother received Visa: January 2023
Father's application received government service record request: February 2023
Submitted GSR form: March 2023
Went into review: March 2023
Applied for GCMS notes twice since then: Does not reveal much
Contacted IRCC: December 2023, They responded as of now there is nothing to do on our end but wait.

So far it has been about 18 months since the application was submitted.

Let's hope at least for some they are able to give decisions faster whether positive or negative. This timeline does not make sense at all.

I submitted visitor visa application for my parents on Jan 26, 2024.
Feb 6th - Biometrics completed
Feb 19th - Eligibility completed
Feb 20th - ADR for Military Information
Feb 21st - Submitted ADR, received by them. Background now in progress.

Any idea how long does it take for Indian Passport holders in such a case?

Anyone still waiting to hear back for additional docs? My parents app is dated March 7 and additional docs submitted on June 2nd and under review since June 28th. Tried GCMS notes twice- not so helpful , tried reaching out MP twice but same response no timeline! do not require anything from us.

When did you applied? I applied on 28 Dec 2023 and got ADR on 29 Jan and haven't got any decision yet

So I believe response to your case is nearing.... There is no fixed timeline for BG checks, depends, how easily information can be verified. But our prayers, may you get a positive outcome soon. Typically ppl get response from between 5 months to 18 months (my assessment- I may be wrong), IRCC never says anything about that...
