Hello,
I have a huge doubt and anyone who has done recently might help.
We are applying inland and recently got AIP. Now they are requesting police certificates. In CIC website, it gives instructions on what to do if the person lives outside of Mexico. It clearly says:
1) Two sets of original fingerprints that meet these standards:
rolled and flat impressions of all ten fingers taken with black ink
full name, date of birth and sex of the applicant
the name and address of the police agency
the signature of the officer taking the fingerprints
My question is, local police don't deal with this. They sent us to some agencies who do the fingerprinting. That takes three weeks. However they do this electronically. No ink. Some agencies do the ink fingerprinting but that takes up to 120 days! Has any one done this recently? Where did you go? What was your experience? Thanks in advance.
Go to your local or provincial police office and take a print out of the CIC website with the instructions. Show the instructions to the officers on duty and ask them to please help you out (especially since CIC's instructions claim the prints need to be taken by law enforcement). If they don't have ink, look up the medical examiner's office. The ME's need to be able to take prints to identify bodies and are usually quite good at taking prints.
If that doesn't work, send a case specific enquiry to the Mexico visa office and get their advice. The PGR's website just asks for 'original fingerprints' (per http://www.pgr.gob.mx/Servicios/Constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp) but since the Embassy of Canada in Mexico needs to accept your prints first to submit them to the PGR on your behalf you want them on board with the approach.
Does anybody know what is the actual size for the "passport size" photographs requested for the Informe de Datos Registrales per instructions below:
Is it passport size of Canada, Mexico? If someone know the dimensions please help.
Also, I assume the photos must be in color, correct?
2) Three photographs of the front, and three of the right profile: passport size (With no makeup, earrings, glasses, beard, moustache, sideburns—no exceptions)
