I applied for PhD in scientific computing for the Spring/May 2019 semester and still my application status shows "Complete-Ready for review". I submitted my application on Sep 28, 2018. Does it usually take this long for them to make a decision.

Hi,

I applied for PhD in scientific computing for the Spring/May 2019 semester and still my application status shows "Complete-Ready for review". I submitted my application on Sep 28, 2018. Does it usually take this long for them to make a decision.

I emailed Andrew Kim and he said usually department gives out admits for PhD admits for Fall semester. Is it really true?

Also he said there is a good chance that if they decide on giving admit they would do it for Fall and not Spring semester.

Im facing such a problem i dont know anything about this plz help me by give ur suggestions. Problem is
In my all academic certificates my father's name is " md adbul karim " but in my passport only " adbul karim "?? will it problem to get canada study permit? as i can't change name due to gov new rules??

I dont think that matters. But by the way, why dont you change your father's name in passport? That should be pretty easy, if you are from India and you have other documents to prove it. Getting your passport re-issued should not take more than a week in India. Plus, you get extended validity too.
