I had the reverse situation. I was asked to pay the RPRF before MR. One of my friend working for a immigration consultant asked me to wait. After one month I got MR request. But I think nothing wrong in checking with VO for the same. Only thing is you might not get the prompt response.
IS the RPRF Fees, $490 for each ($980 for applicant and spouse?) and children below 22 age are exempted ?
We are a family of 3, our daughter is 2 years old, so our RPRF will add up to $980 ? correct?
and can it be paid by credit card?

I sent my MR a month ago and still waiting for next step. Ecas still not showing received.
I learnt that their is a RPRF fee that needs to be paid once they ask for passport.
I also read that the fee can be paid any time during the process.
Is the fee refundable if for some reason the visa wasnt issued?
Should I pay the fee at this stage to expedite the process or wait for their instructions?
If yes, are their any specific instructions on how to pay the RPRF to Warsaw office or it has to be sent directly to Canada ?
Can a credit card be used to for the payment?
How long will it take for Warsaw office to receive the payment and issue the the visa?
I really would like to expedite my process, any help on the above is highly appreciated

I have filed my application on 19 March 2011...... Medicals done 19 December 2011...... Address in Ecas still missing since 27 January 2012... no added line of medical results received in the Ecas yet... still waiting for Ecas updates....
I am waiting for passport request, but i dont know if Ecas has to show medicals received before they send the pasport request... all corrospondance from Warsaw office to me was by e-mail..
again still not received request to pay RPRF.. i might contact the Warsaw office to check if i need to pay it now eventhough they have not asked for it themselves

When they will sent you a request letter for passports they will ask you to submit RPRF and Yes RPRF fees is refundable and I think you have to wait for their request.
You can made a Demand Dreft in Favor of “ RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA: Payable at Canada in any Canadian bank. According to me they are not accepting RPRF by credit card and about the time lines weel I am not aware of the time required by the warsaw office to issue a visa.
