Thanks. I'm taking your word for a fact. I'm sure you know what you're talking about. The reason I'm saying this is I don't really wish to travel to Canada just for a Medical Exam. My plan is to travel once I get the PR.
of course there is no problem to go to a panel physician of your current country. there is not such a requirement for the couples having medical tests together, there is not such a requirement you have to go to doctor of the country of your application or any other limitations. why you have doubts about it?
simply go to the nearest eligible doctor. that's it.
I have received medical request on May 20th.
Medical done 21st.
Hospital said they have uploaded the report on 25th by eMedical. Still it doesn't reflect in CIC portal.
Any idea how long it takes to reflect in the system? What is the next status change?
Mine is online application.

I have completed exam on 13th of march, hospital uploaded on 16th of March, I received an update on 24th of March. 2014 applicants receive the update within 2 weeks. next status change is "Medical results have been received." which is actually is not a simply acknowledge receipt but also a sign of passing the test.
Around 10 years ago, I found out that I had antibodies for Hep C. Many exams have been done since then but there was no sign of the virus itself.
As far as I understood, I'll have to take serum AST and ALT and, if those display no abnormality, it should be OK.
My question is: even if the tests are all OK, can it be a reason for delaying the processing of my application?

Does anyone have any experience with getting your medical done while on a low-carb diet? If so, are there any problems with that or should one just advise the Dr. of the fact?
Hi guys.
I have some questions regarding medical.
I would be grateful if someone can help me.
My husband and I were invited a couple of days ago. Now we should undergo medical.
My husband used to smoke for sevveral years. He has quit a few minths ago, but the consequences are still there for sure.
Other than this, we are generally both healthy and normal.
Do you think that they may reject us? Do they test the lungs, etc.?
Do you know of anyone who was a bad smoker and they were passed?
I had appeared for medical test on 13th July in Pune, India and now waiting for further correspondance from CIC. we do not have any medical history..So all medical checkups should be clear.. How much time does CIC take to request passport after medical tests..
