Medical Exam Request

I just received a request from CIC for a medical exam for my wife. Does this mean that my spousal sponsorship is in its final stages? once the exam is done?

CIC never asked for police clearance certificate because I sent them the police clearance certificate along with the application. Now they are asking for medical exam, does it mean that after the medical exam the application will be finalized?

medicals are usually requested at the beginning of the process. if they havent already, they will ask for schedule a and police check and potentially more documents.. then it becomes a waiting game. no one can tell you for sure what is next and when it will be processed, however youve got a few months of waiting ahead of you

What this means is they are finalizing your app to begin the processing. Making sure they have everything they need so they can work on the application. Once medical was received for us it was 8 months wait (processing times wary by VO).
