Just had my medical in Ottawa- I am American, here visiting my husband. It was $180 CN for the doctor, $40 for the x-ray and $7.76 for the lab. . The worst park was the parking $2.50 for 30 minutes. $12.50 to park for 21/2 hours.
Wow, that seems kind of petty compared to the thousands of dollars i've spent on hiring a lawyer, travelling overseas to prove my marriage is genuine etc. I wish i had your problem..Trust me, it could be a lot worse!
Any updates on what a medical check costs in Canada these days? My wife is wondering whether she should get it done in Japan before we move to Canada or in Canada later. We haven't received a request to get a medical yet and we're planning to move in the middle of July. I was thinking of going before we actually receive the request as time is getting tight. It appears that the fees in Japan are approximately $350 Can. Would it make sense to do the test in Canada (Ontario)? My wife wouldn't have any health insurance of course.

There is no standard, totally depends on the specific doctor you intend to go to. Varies by city. Give some of them close to the area you intend to go to a call and see what their pricing is.
I know this is an old thread , i would like to know if any one from united states tried to file a claim to insurance for "Immigration Medical Service" cost , when i called my insurance united health care , they assured this covered as part of preventive care .However am not quite sure if the claim will be approved

Just called Dr Serafin Veramendi in Illinois and they charge $400.00 for the exam. That includes every thing. No photos needed as they do the photos there as well. Only Passport and $400.0. Payment has to be Cash or Credit Card. No long wait for appointments. Have an appointment on Wednesday Dec 26, 2018. Will update once done....
