Original bank statement of account or statement of deposit. The bank will issue it up on request. But no need of original deposit receipts to be sent to the VO.
Original passports.

First and Foremost take my heartfelt wishes on receiving medicals and PPR request. God Bless U.
Answering your Questions:
The proof of funds: If its Fixed Deposit show the photo copy of the FD certificate and a letter from the bank manager. If its bank statement it should be original with the seal of the bank and should accompany with a letter from the bank manager. (To be in safer side)
Police clearance Certificate: Original.
Passport: Original
Make sure you take sufficient photocopies of all these documents. Please send all these through courier service so that you can trace it in later stages and keep the receipt safe.
Regards
Can you please share your time line and ecas status.
Regards
Thanks to all.
The only issue is I don't have much funds in FD but they are available in the form of NSC(National savings certificate), RD(Recurring Deposit) which is issued by Post Office of India. And, I can't have any certificate from them for the certificates they have issued. Should I write a letter to VO explaining my situation?
For processing timelines:
Application recieved by CIC: 27 Sept 2011
First AOR: 20 Dec 2011
File Transfer: 20 Jan 2012
PPR, Med request: 20 Feb 2012

You can photocopy and notarize the instruments. Write in a cover letter describing the facts.

Thanks a lot for the information. I already get the photostate done and notarized by public notary. Just curious to know if there has been a case in the past that justified VO. I am a little scared on this.
That means you applied again in MI3.?....

Dear Navneet,
Congrats for getting your medicals.
Please do the following for your proof of funds:
1. Bank statement:
For any nationalized banks like SBI, Central Bank, etc get statement for 6 months(copy of your passbook or printout via online statment). On this photocopied papers get stamp and signature of the manager or clerk. Notarized statment will not work.
For other banks ask for an orignal statment.
2. For Fixed Deposit in bank: Do the same as above.
3. For NSC: Ask the Post office if they will stamp/sign the photocopies. If they don't than notarizing them is the only option.
