I guess a good number of May 2017 applicants are still stuck and there hasn't been any movement for anyone which is strange. There seems no way to get an update on the application too since the LVOs do not even care to respond.

I just recieved my GCMS notes and it still has the same status as it was in January. No processing is done since then. It said
Eligibility - Not Started and Security - Not Started. Its still the same in June as well.

I send an email three days back and here is what i got :

"Dear Sir/Madam,
This email is in response to your enquiry below.
Your file is currently undergoing necessary background checks. Please note that no further information is required at this time. We will contact you once the checks are complete.
We appreciate your continued patience during this process.
Kind regards,
KKB".

Now even the officer is changed. Previously it was DRD. Dont know what is happening with my file at all.

You can, but at this stage CBSA will have no involvement with your application. Only after eligibility is passed, will CBSA step in.

I had ordered mine twice since Jan and had the same status. I have ordered another one this month. Should know if at all they started eligibility and background check.

I am from May2017 AOR and my file is stuck in the same status since Oct 2017 i.e. background check in process. My medicals expire today but no remed update on application.

I was just wondering what are my options at this point?
1. Order GCMS
2. Contact CIC via online query
3. Contact LVO

Any suggestions would be helpful!

I applied for express entry on May 6, 2017 for my spouse and myself and since last year August 2017, I have not seen any update. My account is still stuck in the background check.
I am in Canada, but my post-graduate work permit will expire in the first week of December, when do you think is a good time to apply for a extension to my work permit while I wait? Hopefully I get it soon

Hey Ammar, likewise here man but instead of KKB I got this reply back from DJM.

"Your application is currently undergoing
background/security checks, hence the delay. Once
these are complete we will be in touch".
