Hi all, I have a question regarding the citizenship certificate. Finally after a month when my LPP was completed, I got an update for my oath invitation for October 2. One month ago when I saw my LPP is over, I got an appointment from passport Canada and now there is only 2 days between my oath and appointment. My question is, will I get the citizenship certificate during the ceremony or they mail us later? Location: Ottawa. Thanks.
Irrespective of what you selected during your application, if you have a virtual ceremony, you will get an e-certificate (in 1-5 days). If it is in-person ceremony, you will get the paper certificate (immediately)

So today I got my GCMS notes, and for those who know my case, my Background is still in progress even though they did receive my FP results on August 8th.
According to the notes, my file was last updated on August 28th, when I had the online interview. All this while, I thought my primary office was Calgary, just found out on the notes that
it is Vancouver. The secondary office is Sydney Ofiice and the Event office is Calgary. IRCC never stops confusing innocent souls.

The interview officer notes in the GCMS state that the PROHIBITIONS discussed during PII, NO CONCERN.
The applicant made aware that we are waiting for FP assessment and delay may occur.

I guess I will stop checking tracker everyday

We are just unlucky and got stuck for apparently no reason. Yours is even weirder, and it makes me wonder how these people really work. How is it possible to get BG cleared and still
have PROHIBITIONS in progress?

Order GCMS and check if it has a mention of I.C.E.S, especially when Physical Presence and Prohibitions are pending:
Check: ICES Request | Canada Immigration Forum (canadavisa.com)

Someone noted: Don't remember what the acronym means, but ICES is a database where the Canadian Border Agency (CBSA) logs movement in and out of the country of people. IRCC request CBSA to share data on the applicant to verify the physical presence in the country. I think it is usually initiated when you presence is less than 1200 days. They Shared: Yesterday I recieved a oath invitation for April 4th. LPP on the tracker showed completed on March 12th. My ICES was initiated on Feb 2nd. Hope this helps! Good vibes for all who are stuck at LPP after ICES request, I hope you get good news soon!

Hi Everyone

Had a request for fingerprint, completed the process on 31st August and still waiting for the file to get updated.
Will there be long waiting on this? Is there anyway to check

Thanks for you input. I am just waiting for BG and PROHIBITIONS. When I applied for PR, I got charged for an assault however the case got WITHDRAWN and obviously it did affect the processing timeline for my PR I don't know if that is the reason why. I got my my GCMS notes yesterday and they are waiting for FP assessment. Thy received my FP results on August 8.

Could you please confirm when you received the FP request and when you submitted them.

Most likely you got the request from Vancouver, and they take 4-5 weeks on an average from the time you gave the fingerprints. Meanwhile you can call RCMP and check when they mailed the FP report to IRCC to get an idea.

Received the request on Aug 27th, RCMP confirmed that they have mailed out to IRCC on 6th Sept.
Any contact number to check with IRCC?

No special number to check FP status with IRCC. If you would like, you can call and ask on the normal IRCC number 888-242-2100.

They take about 3 weeks from the time RCMP sent the report to receive and update the tracker. So you should see it by end of September.

@hssrp We received GCMS notes and see that LPP has not yet started though, test was completed by Aug 8th according to the notes (I think notes were pulled on Aug 30th). Also no update to file since the test was completed. The file is in Vancouver office. Is this type of processing delay normal? Do you know how long it typically takes from test completed to LPP in Vancouver?

Hello guys. This question is irrelevant to this group but I need some help please. I am a May applicant for citizenship and all stages have been cleared since Sept 11. I am planning to book my ticket for India and for that I will be using my current Indian passport. Hopefully I will have my Canadian passport when travelling. Is there a problem with this or is it okay to give the airline your current passport details and show up with a Canadian passport? Please advise.
