I got a lot of updates. PAL, Eligibility passed and Background in progress. Can anyone please tell me how long it takes from background in progress to passed?

They asked for a couple documents: sponsor’s past T4 statements, current letter of employment, and proof of communication between sponsor & PA. It was a bit strange that they asked for all these docs again as we sent them with the application

Yeah strange as I assume Sponsor is already approved and some docs requested were sponsor related

No, My tracker as well as GcKey has no update of PPR.

Check sponsor's or PA's email. My wife received her PPR in her email.

Did you ever recieve an AIP or "Approval in Principle" email once PAs eligibility was completed or was it just the PR Tracker?

Planning on having my husband visit me for the rest of our application, we'd be flying in together. Did you just state your wife was visiting or did you tell them you'd be waiting for the rest of the process?

Got update on profile today that eligibility status has been updated to “in progress” on February 6 but “in progress” status has been on tracker since February 1. Now I’m confused as to what this means. Maybe it’ll be be completed by end of week✌

Is this normal?
By every thing i mean, background, medical, eligibility, biometrics..
Is there a way to link application to gckey, if applied online?

Some people receive pre-arrival before even getting bio/medical done. Some people don't get it at all through out the entire process. Some people don't get it but get PPR instead.

Pre-arrival doesn't really guarantee that the application is passed some people can get it and still get rejected, it's just a piece of paper. I think it fully depends on the officer working on your case.

If you applied online you can link your GCKey account to your application by creating a GCKey account and answering the questionnaires about your application. Keep in mind that only 1 person can link to GCKey so if you have a representative you won't be able to link it again since they've already linked.
