Hello, my application status tracker online shows that my citizenship status is in progress. The test window is 10/22/2021 - 11/11/2021. However, I haven't received an invitation email. Is this normal or should I contact them? I am not physically in Canada at the moment. My local office is Windsor.

Hi All,

I have this situation and request you guys to kindly clarify please. My application was received on 26th May 2021, with AOR on 3rd September 2021. I got a ghost update on 12th October 2021 on the new tracker. On 13th October 2021 my ecas citizenship application status turned to "In Process". On clicking to read the detailed status, I can see the following:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 26, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 3, 2021.

I have not received the next line item which says that " We started processing your application on DD/MM/YYYY". Is this usual or what should I interpret out of it? Has my application gone to In Process?

Further for my dependent children who I have attached along with my citizenship application their status is still at "Application Received" and has not moved to "In Process"

That is how it works, you get AOR first and usually in about 30-45 days the status updates to in process on ECAS. You won’t see any update on the new tracking system until either your background check is completed or FP request is sent out. Hope this helps.

Hello friends, I just checked my status I received a test invite, but I’ve not received any email. Time period for the test starts on Monday. It was updated on 13th. Is it normal? Thanks

The application status tracker page shows the test window. It says we should receive an email with the details but I haven’t received it yet.

You'll receive one in a few days. You can't appear for the test from outside Canada.

Incorrect; the test can be done from outside Canada. Been that way a couple of months or so now.
