Folks,

A lot of us are seeing the status as "In-progress" in the new tracker tool as soon as we get the AOR. Is this status same as the ECAS "In-process" people are used to here? Can some experts chime in?

For those who updated ECAS to InProgress. Did you get an email that it moved to InProgress? My ECAS shows application rcvd and the CIC tracker shows application in progress.

No. In Process status is fom Old ECAS. This generally means the background process is completed and the file is transferred to the local office. Again, this is based on the observations on this forum, this may or may not be true for all.

The tracker (spreadsheet) is based on old ECAS, So using the In Progress from New ECAS messes up the stats (as they do not mean the same thing).

So, it sounds like the "In-progress" status in the new tracker means nothing until we see a change in status for one of those six sections.

Hi everyone,

I got my AOR on 7th September, and started seeing the "In Progress" status on 8th September (today). I am accessing the tracker through the https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en website.

So based on my understanding for online applicants, I should not be using the old ECAS to keep track of my citizenship application status? I should be using the new tracker?
