Hi All,
I have one urgent quick question as per below.
I got my Canada PR card on 28-Sept-2015. I am going to apply citizenship application tomorrow (10-May-2020). I am NOT a SINGAPORE citizen.
Regards about the police certificate, as per CIC , immediate 4 years before applied. Count back 4 years that mean from 10-May-2016 to 10-May-2020 for my immediate 4 years period.
I was in Singapore from 01-Oct-2015 to 21-Oct-2016, total 387days. As immediate 4 years, start from 10-May-2016 to 10-May-2020 for me.
From 10-May-2016 to 21-Oct-2016 is 165days (start count immediate 4 years and I am back to Canada on 21-Oct-2016) and it is less than 183 days.
In this case,
1) Do I need to submit the SINGAPORE police report as I stayed in Singapore for more than 183days within 5 years? Or no need because CIC mentions immediate 4 years?
2) Do I need to mention in the table, over 183 days and do not require to submit SINGAPORE police certificate due to less than 183 days due to immediate 4 years?
Please reply your comments as I need your input urgently. Thank you.

Yes, that is totally weird, I understand that there would be a delay though, but for how long, here comes the issue. Thanks Dr kbknaidu for letting me know the current normal time. Did you send to the courier address or regular mail address by chance
I used regular mail address, because the lady who collected my post in Canada post office told me all Canada post mails must be sent to Regular Mail address only, but it was really painful even to deliver the packet, forget about processing the applications, OMG... and my friend called CIC Citizenship service center after 4 hours they told him we are processing the applications and we never closed this section, only thing is we are behind the regular timelines due to shortage of work support

Photos are taken 5months before. Is it okay if I send the application now so that the application will reach the center before 6 months.
If there is a issue with the citizenship photos, will they return the whole package or will ask for the photos only.
Does anyone know in what order IRCC processes received applications? Looking at the January applicants for example, I see an application (single) delivered on Jan 6 which received AOR on Feb 27, while another single application delivered earlier on Jan 3 received AOR on March 9.
Don't they process them by date delivered? In that case shouldn't all the applications for Jan 3 be processed before moving on to Jan 6?

Let's also assume the applications you and your friend sent were received on the same day (Jan 03).
Now, if your application goes to CO1 and your friend's application goes to CO2, there is a good chance that you will get your AOR much sooner than your friend will.
Why? Because your file is with an officer who doesn't have any pending work. He will start working on your file soon. Even if we assume that your application was the last in the new pile handed over to CO1, you might still receive your AOR soon because there are only 5 applications before you.
However, your friend's application is with an officer with 15 pending files on his desk. Even if we assume that your friend's application was the first in the new pile handed over to CO2, AOR might take a while because there are 15 other applications before your friend's.
This is the way I see it and this is just my opinion.
I had the same problem with my OINP application (which was paper based back in 2015). Many people who applied on the same date and even several days after me were getting AORs and I wasn't. I did some thinking and this was the explanation I came up with and it made sense to me.
Hello everyone,
I sent in my application on April 27th via Canada Post (Xpress Post) and it was delivered early today.
Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Application Type: Single - Requested Urgent Processing (Reason: a job with the RCMP requiring citizenship).
Physical Presence Days: 1095
Application Send: April 27th
Application Received: May 12th
Thank you, and good luck to you all! May the processing be fast and smooth (pun intended)!
Good day Everyone, I need help with citizenship application for minor.
My kids passports expired last year and I couldn’t renew. Now I’m completing the application form and it requires the data page of their valid passport data page. But the passport has expired. What should I do please.
Should I just explain by writing to them? Will that be enough? Please help.
You just need to explain why you could not renew. Your child will still two forms of ID. You also need to prove that you have custody of the child. One form of ID is just to ask for a letter that contains their registration status + DOB + photo from their school. If you have an immigration consultant, they should be able to get it done no problem, or you can just write the explanation yourself!
